About WildLanterns at Woodland Park Zoo

WildLanterns transforms Woodland Park Zoo into an illuminated landscape of animal-inspired lantern displays. This annual event features hundreds of handcrafted lanterns, often depicting creatures from across the globe, offering a unique visual experience that blends art with the natural world. It's a family-friendly walk-through installation, distinct from a typical live performance. This installation runs through the holiday season, with this particular date on Tuesday, December 29, 2026, marking one of the final opportunities to see the lights at Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle. It's an outdoor, evening event, well-suited for those looking for a festive, non-traditional outing.
