About WildLanterns at Woodland Park Zoo

WildLanterns is an annual winter lights festival at Woodland Park Zoo, transforming the grounds into an illuminated spectacle. This event features large-scale, handcrafted lanterns depicting animals and nature scenes, offering a unique way to experience the zoo after dark. It's an immersive visual display rather than a traditional performance, known for its intricate artistry and family-friendly atmosphere. On Sunday, December 27, this Seattle tradition continues at Woodland Park Zoo. The outdoor, walk-through format makes it a good fit for those looking for a festive, low-key evening stroll. It generally appeals to families, art enthusiasts, and anyone looking for a visually engaging holiday season activity in Seattle, WA.
