    About

WildLanterns is a unique evening attraction at Woodland Park Zoo, transforming the grounds into an illuminated landscape of animal-themed lanterns. This event offers a chance to see the zoo in a different light, focusing on large-scale, handcrafted displays rather than live animals. It's a family-friendly, immersive walk-through experience that highlights wildlife conservation through art. This special Saturday night showing takes place on December 12, 2026, at Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle. The zoo's expansive outdoor pathways provide a scenic backdrop for the lantern displays, making it a good option for those looking for a festive, visually-driven outdoor activity during the holiday season. It generally appeals to families and anyone who appreciates art installations and outdoor light festivals.
