    About

WildLanterns is an annual light festival transforming Woodland Park Zoo into an illuminated wonderland. This event features hundreds of large-scale animal lanterns and nature-inspired displays, creating a unique nighttime experience. It's a chance to see the zoo grounds in a completely different light, focusing on intricate artistry and immersive installations rather than live animals. This special engagement runs on Thursday, December 3, 2026, at Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle. The atmosphere is generally family-friendly and appeals to anyone looking for a visually stunning evening event, particularly those who appreciate public art, holiday light displays, or a novel way to explore a familiar space.
