About Wicked at Playhouse Square - Keybank State Theatre

Wicked is back in Cleveland, bringing its long-running story of the witches of Oz to the KeyBank State Theatre. This touring production continues to draw crowds with its familiar songs and a narrative that recontextualizes the classic Wizard of Oz tale. It’s a chance to see one of Broadway’s most successful shows without traveling to New York. The show runs on Wednesday, December 9, 2026, at Playhouse Square. The KeyBank State Theatre offers a traditional proscenium stage setting, well-suited for a large-scale musical like Wicked. It’s a good option for those who appreciate established Broadway hits and their theatrical storytelling.
