The Outsiders

The Outsiders is a new musical adaptation of S.E. Hinton's classic novel, bringing the story of Ponyboy Curtis and the Greasers and Socs to the Broadway stage. This production features a score by Jonathan Clay, Zach Chance, and Justin Levine, with direction by Danya Taymor. It's a look at class conflict and loyalty in 1960s Tulsa, told through a contemporary musical lens. This matinee performance of The Outsiders at the Jacobs Theatre in New York offers an opportunity to catch the show mid-week. It's suited for those interested in new American musicals, fans of the original book or film, or anyone looking for a dramatic story with a rock-influenced score in a traditional Broadway setting.
