The Outsiders

The Outsiders brings the new Broadway musical to Salt Lake City. This stage adaptation of S.E. Hinton's classic novel and Francis Ford Coppola's film tells the story of Ponyboy Curtis, Johnny Cade, and their chosen family of 'outsiders' as they navigate class divisions and loyalty in 1960s Oklahoma. Expect a score that blends folk, rock, and Americana, reflecting the story's themes of youth and rebellion. Catch The Outsiders on Thursday, November 12, 2026, at the Eccles Theater. This large, modern venue is well-suited for a touring Broadway production, offering good sightlines and acoustics. Fans of character-driven narratives, coming-of-age stories, and new American musicals will likely find this appealing.
