The Nutcracker

The Nutcracker ballet is a classic holiday tradition, and this performance at the Grand Theatre brings the familiar score and story to Reno. Audiences can expect the full production, complete with Tchaikovsky's enduring music, elaborate costumes, and the tale of Clara's magical journey through the Land of Sweets. It's a staple of the festive season, offering a chance to see a foundational work of classical dance. This presentation takes place on Wednesday, December 9, 2026, at the Grand Theatre at Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, NV. The theater setting is well-suited for a large-scale ballet, providing good sightlines and acoustics for the orchestral score. This show tends to draw families, ballet enthusiasts, and anyone looking for a traditional holiday cultural experience.
