The Imaginary Invalid

Molière's classic satire, The Imaginary Invalid, takes the stage for a special matinee performance. This comedic play, first performed in 1673, lampoons hypochondria and the medical profession, remaining sharply relevant centuries later. Expect a witty script and physical comedy as Argan, the titular character, attempts to marry off his daughter to a doctor to secure his own constant medical care. This afternoon showing on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at the Todd Haimes Theatre in New York, NY, offers a chance to see a foundational work of French theater. The venue is known for its quality productions, providing an intimate setting well-suited for classic comedies. This event appeals to those who appreciate historical theater, clever dialogue, and social commentary wrapped in humor.
