TAO Dance Company

TAO Dance Company brings their distinctive contemporary movement to the Joyce Theater for an afternoon performance. Known for their "Weight" and "Numerical Series," the Beijing-based company, led by choreographer Tao Ye, explores minimalist structures and repetitive, often mesmerizing, group formations. Their work frequently strips back theatrical elements to focus purely on the dancers' physical expression and precision. This Sunday matinee on December 13, 2026, offers a chance to see TAO Dance Company's latest explorations in New York. The Joyce Theater is a well-regarded space for dance, providing an intimate setting that suits their focused, often meditative choreographic style. This performance will appeal to those interested in avant-garde contemporary dance and movement exploration.
