    About

Sweeney Todd in Concert offers a streamlined take on Stephen Sondheim's classic musical thriller. This production focuses on the score and narrative, presenting the dark tale of the Demon Barber of Fleet Street with a cast performing the songs and story without the full staging of a traditional theatrical run. It’s an opportunity to experience Sondheim’s intricate music and lyrics up close. This concert performance of Sweeney Todd is at Shea's 710 Theatre in Buffalo on Saturday, October 24, 2026. The 710 is a more intimate space within the Shea’s complex, well-suited for a concert-style presentation that prioritizes vocal performances and narrative clarity. It should appeal to Sondheim enthusiasts and those who appreciate vocal-driven theatrical experiences.
