Silent Movie Mondays - The Adventures of Prince Achmed (1926)

Silent Movie Mondays continues with a screening of The Adventures of Prince Achmed, one of the earliest surviving animated feature films. This 1926 German film uses silhouette animation to tell a story inspired by Arabian Nights, offering a unique visual style that predates much of what we consider modern animation. It's a chance to see a truly pioneering work of cinema on the big screen. The film screens on Monday, July 26, at Seattle's historic Paramount Theatre. These Silent Movie Mondays events often feature live musical accompaniment, adding another layer to the experience of these classic films. It's an ideal night out for film buffs, animation enthusiasts, or anyone looking for a different kind of movie night in a grand setting.
