Seven Guitars

August Wilson's Seven Guitars returns to New York, presenting a powerful narrative set in 1948 Pittsburgh. This is a revival of the acclaimed play, part of Wilson's ten-play Century Cycle, exploring themes of hope, despair, and the pursuit of the American Dream through the eyes of seven interconnected characters, including a blues musician trying to make a name for himself. This production runs at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater within Lincoln Center in New York, NY. It's an intimate setting, well-suited for the depth and character focus of Wilson's work. Theatergoers who appreciate rich dialogue, historical context, and strong ensemble performances will find this a compelling evening.
