San Francisco Ballet - Jewels

San Francisco Ballet presents Jewels, a three-act ballet by George Balanchine. This performance showcases the company's interpretation of a work often considered a cornerstone of neoclassical ballet. Each act—Emeralds, Rubies, and Diamonds—reflects a distinct style of ballet, from French romanticism to American dynamism and Russian classicism. This Wednesday evening performance takes place on March 3, 2027, at the War Memorial Opera House in San Francisco. The grand setting of the Opera House is well-suited for a ballet of this scale. It's a good opportunity for those interested in classical ballet to see a renowned company perform a significant piece from the repertoire.
