About Other Desert Cities at Hudson Theatre-NY

Other Desert Cities is a sharp, witty play centered on a family Christmas gathering in Palm Springs. The adult children return home to their conservative parents, and things get complicated when one daughter reveals plans to publish a memoir detailing a painful family secret. It's a character-driven drama with plenty of biting humor and emotional depth, exploring themes of memory, truth, and loyalty. This matinee performance of Other Desert Cities is on Saturday, December 19, 2026, at the Hudson Theatre in New York, NY. The Hudson is a classic Broadway house, well-suited for a play that relies on strong performances and intimate dialogue. This production should appeal to those who enjoy contemporary American plays and family dramas with a comedic edge.
