Operation Mincemeat

Operation Mincemeat is a new musical comedy based on the true WWII deception plan. This production, fresh from its acclaimed run in London, tells the story of how British intelligence used a corpse and fake documents to mislead the Nazis about the invasion of Sicily. It’s a clever, often humorous take on a remarkable moment in history, performed by a tight ensemble cast. This Wednesday evening performance at the San Diego Civic Theatre offers a chance to see a contemporary musical that’s been generating significant buzz. It’s a good fit for anyone interested in historical narratives, sharp writing, and innovative stagecraft, presented in a grand, traditional theater setting in downtown San Diego.
