Open Space Dance - NOT-Cracker

Open Space Dance presents NOT-Cracker, a contemporary dance piece that reimagines the holiday classic. Instead of the traditional narrative, this performance offers a fresh, modern perspective on the themes and music of The Nutcracker, often exploring darker or more abstract interpretations through innovative choreography. It's a chance to see familiar elements twisted into something new and thought-provoking. This unique production takes place on Friday, December 4, 2026, at Portland's Newmark Theatre. The venue's intimate setting is well-suited for a dance performance of this nature, allowing audiences to fully immerse themselves in the movement and artistic vision. This show will appeal to those who appreciate contemporary dance, modern interpretations of classics, and anyone looking for an alternative to traditional holiday entertainment.
