NOT-Cracker

NOT-Cracker is an annual Portland tradition that remixes and reinterprets the classic holiday ballet with a modern, often comedic, and sometimes subversive twist. This isn't a traditional Nutcracker; expect a fresh take on the familiar, featuring local talent and a genre-bending approach that keeps audiences guessing. It's known for its clever choreography and unexpected musical selections. This year's run at the Newmark Theatre on Saturday, December 5, offers an opportunity to see a unique holiday production in a comfortable, intimate setting. It's a good fit for anyone looking for a holiday show that breaks from convention, appeals to a broad audience, and offers a bit of local flavor.
