North Carolina Symphony - Dancing in the Street

The North Carolina Symphony performs Dancing in the Street, a program focused on Motown classics and pop hits from the 60s and 70s. This show highlights the orchestra's versatility, moving beyond traditional classical repertoire to reinterpret familiar songs with a full symphonic arrangement. It’s an opportunity to hear popular music performed with a different scope and texture. This performance takes place on Friday, February 12, 2027, at Meymandi Concert Hall in Raleigh. The venue offers a comfortable setting for listening to orchestral music, and this particular program tends to draw a broad audience, including those who enjoy both classical arrangements and classic pop and soul music.
