North Carolina Opera - Orfeo ed Euridice in Concert

North Carolina Opera presents Gluck's Orfeo ed Euridice in a concert format. This allows the focus to be entirely on the music and the vocal performances, highlighting the baroque opera's dramatic power and beautiful melodies without a full theatrical production. It's an opportunity to hear a cornerstone of the opera repertoire, celebrated for its emotional depth and lyrical beauty, performed by a regional company known for its commitment to classical works. This performance takes place on Sunday, April 18, 2027, at the Meymandi Concert Hall within the Martin Marietta Center for the Performing Arts in Raleigh, NC. Meymandi is known for its excellent acoustics, making it an ideal setting for an opera in concert. This event will appeal to opera enthusiasts, classical music fans, and those interested in experiencing a significant work from the baroque era in a focused, intimate setting.
