North Carolina Chinese Lantern Festival

The North Carolina Chinese Lantern Festival is an annual tradition featuring hundreds of intricate, handcrafted lanterns. This event showcases traditional Chinese artistry through large-scale illuminated displays, often depicting animals, mythological figures, and natural landscapes. It’s a chance to see meticulous craftsmanship and a cultural presentation in a unique outdoor setting. This year's festival at Koka Booth Amphitheatre in Cary, NC, offers a family-friendly atmosphere. The late evening timing on Saturday, January 9, 2027, suggests the lanterns will be viewed at their best, after dark. It's a good option for those interested in cultural exhibitions and visual arts in an open-air environment.
