North Carolina Chinese Lantern Festival

The North Carolina Chinese Lantern Festival is an annual tradition featuring hundreds of elaborate, handcrafted lanterns. This event showcases traditional Chinese artistry, with intricate designs ranging from animals and mythological figures to scenes from nature and cultural folklore. It's a chance to see a large-scale display of illuminated sculptures, often accompanied by cultural performances and food vendors. This particular showing on Friday, December 18, 2026, takes place at the Koka Booth Amphitheatre at Regency Park in Cary, NC. The outdoor setting allows for a sprawling exhibit, suitable for an evening stroll. It generally appeals to families and anyone interested in cultural displays and light art.
