North Carolina Chinese Lantern Festival

The North Carolina Chinese Lantern Festival brings a detailed display of traditional Chinese lantern art to Cary. This annual event features handcrafted lanterns, often depicting animals, mythical creatures, and scenes from nature or folklore, illuminated after dark. It's a cultural presentation focused on visual artistry and craftsmanship. This showing at Koka Booth Amphitheatre on Sunday, December 6, 2026, offers a chance to see the lanterns in an outdoor setting. The amphitheater grounds provide space for the installations and a walk-through experience. It's a good option for families or anyone interested in cultural exhibits and light art.
