National Ballet of Canada - Emergence / Silent Screen

The National Ballet of Canada presents a double bill featuring two distinct contemporary works: 'Emergence' and 'Silent Screen'. Crystal Pite's 'Emergence' is known for its intricate, insect-like formations and powerful ensemble choreography, exploring themes of community and survival. Robert Binet's 'Silent Screen' often blends classical ballet with cinematic influences, offering a more narrative or emotionally driven experience. This pairing highlights the company's versatility and commitment to modern ballet. This performance takes place on Friday, November 13, 2026, at the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts in Toronto. The Four Seasons Centre is a purpose-built opera and ballet house, offering excellent sightlines and acoustics for appreciating the nuances of live dance. It's a good evening for those interested in contemporary ballet and strong choreographic storytelling.
