Mexodus

The American Repertory Theater presents Mexodus, a new theatrical work exploring the untold stories of Black and Indigenous people who sought freedom by escaping to Mexico during the 19th century. This performance blends music, movement, and historical narrative, offering a fresh perspective on a lesser-known chapter of North American history. It's a powerful piece that brings together elements of hip-hop, blues, and traditional Mexican folk music to tell a compelling story. Catch Mexodus on Saturday, January 9, 2027, at the Loeb Drama Center in Cambridge, MA. The A.R.T. is known for its innovative and thought-provoking productions, and this show fits that reputation. It will appeal to theatergoers interested in historical narratives, musical storytelling, and contemporary performance.
