Los Angeles Philharmonic - Minimalist Icons

The Los Angeles Philharmonic presents Minimalist Icons, a program featuring contemporary classical works alongside rock band Icons. This concert offers a chance to hear how minimalist ideas have influenced different musical forms, with the orchestra performing pieces that explore repetitive structures and gradual sonic evolution. Icons will contribute their own take on these concepts, bridging the gap between orchestral and rock idioms. This matinee performance on Sunday, April 18, 2027 at Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles provides a unique listening experience. The Disney Hall is known for its acoustics, which will highlight the nuances of both the orchestral and amplified performances. It's a good fit for listeners interested in modern classical music and those curious about genre crossovers.
