    About

The Kansas City Symphony presents a special screening of the 1920 silent film Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, featuring live organ accompaniment by Dorothy Papadakos. Papadakos is known for her improvisational scores, bringing a contemporary classical sensibility to these classic silent features. This performance offers a chance to experience a film score created live in the moment. This unique Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde event takes place on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at Helzberg Hall in the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts. The hall is known for its acoustics, which will highlight Papadakos's organ work and the dramatic tension of the film. It's a good evening for those interested in film history, classical improvisation, and a different kind of concert experience.
