Jazz II - Birth of Cool

American Contemporary Ballet presents "Jazz II - Birth of Cool", a performance inspired by the seminal 1949-1950 Miles Davis recordings. This program translates the cool jazz aesthetic into a ballet, exploring the era's innovative sounds and sophisticated arrangements through movement. It's an interpretation of a pivotal moment in jazz history, brought to life on stage. This performance takes place on Friday, March 19, 2027, at the American Contemporary Ballet in Los Angeles. The venue offers an intimate setting for ballet, often providing a close connection between the audience and the dancers. It's a good fit for those who appreciate both classical dance and the nuanced artistry of mid-century jazz.
