    About

The Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular at the Minnesota Zoo showcases thousands of intricately carved pumpkins, often arranged into themed displays and illuminated for a walking tour experience. This annual event transforms the zoo grounds into a glowing outdoor art exhibit, highlighting the craftsmanship involved in these large-scale gourd installations. It's a family-friendly atmosphere that leans into the creative side of the Halloween season, moving beyond just spooky themes. Head to the Minnesota Zoo in Apple Valley on Monday, October 26, 2026, for this unique evening. The event typically features a well-paced outdoor walk, suitable for all ages, offering a visually engaging way to enjoy the fall night. It appeals to those looking for a festive, art-focused outing rather than a traditional haunted attraction.
