    About

The Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular at the Minnesota Zoo is an outdoor art installation featuring thousands of intricately carved pumpkins. This isn't a traditional theater performance, but rather an immersive, illuminated trail experience where the pumpkins themselves are the stars, often depicting pop culture figures, historical scenes, or fantastical creatures. It's an annual favorite for its unique blend of artistic craftsmanship and seasonal atmosphere. This particular showing takes place on Friday, October 23, 2026, at the Minnesota Zoo in Apple Valley. The event is generally a family-friendly walk-through, best enjoyed by those looking for a visually engaging, non-musical evening activity. It's a good fit for anyone who appreciates creative artistry and a bit of festive autumn magic.
