In Conversation with Amy Tan

Amy Tan, the acclaimed author known for her insightful novels like "The Joy Luck Club" and "The Kitchen God's Wife," will be featured in a special "In Conversation" event. This is a chance to hear directly from Tan about her literary career, her reflections on culture and family, or perhaps her latest projects. Her work often explores the complex dynamics of Chinese-American identity and relationships, resonating with a wide readership. This intimate evening takes place on Friday, October 23, 2026, at Laxson Auditorium in Chico, CA. The format suggests a thoughtful discussion rather than a traditional performance, making it ideal for those interested in literature, cultural narratives, and the creative process behind enduring stories.
