    About

HYPROV brings together hypnosis and improv comedy for a show that’s always a bit unpredictable. Master hypnotist Asad Mecci puts volunteers from the audience into a trance, and then improv legend Colin Mochrie (or a guest comedian) leads them through a series of comedic scenes. It’s a concept that relies on spontaneity and the audience’s willingness to participate, making each performance unique. This iteration of HYPROV: Improv Under Hypnosis is at the Sobey Family Theatre in Charlottetown on Wednesday, November 25, 2026. The theatre setting is well-suited for this kind of theatrical comedy, offering good sightlines for the stage. It’s a good fit for anyone looking for something different in live comedy, especially those who enjoy improv or are curious about hypnosis.
