Hairspray

Hairspray is back on stage, bringing its upbeat story and familiar songs to Skokie. This production is a classic example of a Broadway musical with a strong message, centered around Tracy Turnblad's efforts to integrate a local dance show in 1960s Baltimore. Expect a high-energy performance with strong vocals and choreography that fans of the original show and film will recognize. This matinee performance of Hairspray takes place on Saturday, December 26, 2026, at the North Shore Center in Skokie, IL. The theater setting is well-suited for a full-scale musical, offering a comfortable environment for an afternoon show. It's a good option for those looking for family-friendly entertainment or anyone who appreciates a well-produced theatrical experience with a historical backdrop.
