Hadestown

Hadestown is a musical that retells the ancient Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice, set against a backdrop inspired by New Orleans jazz and American folk music. The show weaves together two love stories: that of Orpheus and Eurydice, and that of King Hades and his wife Persephone. It explores themes of love, loss, and the power of art. This matinee performance at the Walter Kerr Theatre in New York, NY offers a chance to see the Tony Award-winning musical mid-week. It's a good option for those who appreciate musicals with a unique score and a more narrative-driven approach, appealing to both theatergoers familiar with Greek mythology and those new to the story.
