About Drunk Shakespeare - A Drunk Christmas Carol at The Ruby Theatre

The Drunk Shakespeare Society brings their unique brand of boozy improv to Charles Dickens' holiday classic with A Drunk Christmas Carol. Expect one actor to down five shots of whiskey before attempting to perform a major role, leading to an unpredictable and often hilarious adaptation of Ebenezer Scrooge's ghostly night. It's a loose, lively, and genuinely funny theatrical experience that embraces the chaos. This special holiday run plays at The Ruby Theatre in New York, NY on Saturday, December 12, 2026. The Ruby Theatre typically offers an intimate setting for these comedic performances, making it a good fit for anyone looking for a relaxed, irreverent night out with friends who appreciate a good laugh and a fresh take on traditional theater.
