Drunk Shakespeare - A Drunk Christmas Carol

Drunk Shakespeare returns to Sage Theatre for a special holiday run, presenting "A Drunk Christmas Carol." This is a unique take on classic theater where one professional actor has five shots of whiskey before attempting to perform a Shakespeare play. The result is a chaotic, improvisational, and often hilarious reinterpretation, with the other four sober actors trying to keep the narrative on track. It's a high-energy, unpredictable evening that blends highbrow text with lowbrow antics. Catch this particular performance on Sunday, January 3, 2027, at Sage Theatre in Washington, DC. The intimate setting of Sage Theatre is perfect for this interactive show, allowing the audience to feel part of the unfolding mayhem. This event is a good fit for anyone who enjoys comedy, experimental theater, or a fresh, irreverent spin on traditional stories.
