About Drunk Shakespeare - A Drunk Christmas Carol at Sage Theatre

The Drunk Shakespeare troupe brings their signature blend of classic text and boozy improv to Washington DC with a special holiday engagement: Drunk Shakespeare - A Drunk Christmas Carol. One actor performs a major role after taking five shots of whiskey, while four sober cast members try to keep the narrative on track. Expect unexpected tangents and plenty of laughs as they navigate Dickens' timeless tale with a very tipsy Scrooge. This matinee performance on Saturday, December 12, 2026, takes place at the Sage Theatre in Washington, DC. It's an intimate, interactive experience, best suited for those who appreciate theatrical comedy, improvisation, and a fresh, irreverent take on familiar stories.
