Cleveland Orchestra - Lim Plays Liszt

This Sunday afternoon, the Cleveland Orchestra performs Lim Plays Liszt, featuring the romantic composer's Piano Concerto No. 1. This piece is known for its dramatic flair and virtuosic demands on the soloist. The orchestra will also present a selection of works by contemporary composer Unsuk Chin, offering a contrast to Liszt's 19th-century sound. The performance takes place at Mandel Concert Hall within Severance Music Center in Cleveland. This matinee concert provides a good opportunity to hear a full orchestral program in a classic concert hall setting. It should appeal to those who appreciate both established classical repertoire and modern orchestral compositions.
