Charlottesville Ballet - Sensory-Friendly Nutcracker Sweets

Charlottesville Ballet presents a special Sensory-Friendly Nutcracker Sweets performance. This adaptation of the holiday classic is designed to be accessible and enjoyable for all audiences, including those with sensory sensitivities. Expect a shorter program with modified lighting, sound, and a relaxed atmosphere, allowing for movement and vocalization as needed. It's an opportunity to experience the magic of The Nutcracker in a welcoming environment. This unique matinée takes place on Monday, December 21, 2026, at the Academy of Music Theatre in Northampton, MA. The Academy is a historic venue, and this format makes live ballet approachable for families and individuals who might typically find traditional theater settings challenging. It's a thoughtful way to introduce ballet to a broader community.
