Candlelight - Christmas Carols on Strings

Candlelight - Christmas Carols on Strings brings a unique blues and jazz interpretation to holiday classics. This performance features string arrangements of traditional carols, offering a fresh perspective on familiar tunes. It's a chance to hear these songs reimagined in a style that emphasizes improvisation and soulful melodies, moving beyond standard orchestral presentations. The event is on Thursday, December 17, 2026, at the Scottish Rite Cathedral in Indianapolis. The Cathedral's grand setting and acoustics should complement the string ensemble's sound. This show is likely to appeal to those who appreciate jazz and blues and are looking for a different way to engage with Christmas music.
