Awake and Sing

Clifford Odets' classic drama, Awake and Sing, returns to the stage for a limited run. This seminal work of American theater explores the struggles and dreams of a working-class Jewish family in the Bronx during the Great Depression. Its sharp dialogue and poignant character studies make it a significant piece in the American theatrical canon, offering a window into a pivotal era. This production runs on Tuesday, December 15, 2026, at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre in New York. The Friedman is a mid-sized Broadway house known for presenting thoughtful, often revival, plays.
