Alison Brown

Alison Brown brings her distinctive blend of bluegrass, jazz, and folk to the Dakota. A Grammy-winning banjo player and composer, Brown is known for pushing the boundaries of the instrument, moving beyond traditional bluegrass to incorporate sophisticated melodic and harmonic ideas. This performance offers a chance to hear her intricate playing and thoughtful compositions live. This Tuesday night show on November 10, 2026, at the Dakota in Minneapolis offers a more intimate setting for fans of instrumental virtuosity and acoustic music. It's a good fit for those who appreciate a relaxed dinner and a show format, focusing on musicianship rather than a high-energy concert.
