Alcatraz Day Tour

The Alcatraz Day Tour offers a direct ferry to the infamous island prison, providing access to the cell house audio tour and historical exhibits. This self-guided exploration allows visitors to move at their own pace, learning about the island's past as a federal penitentiary, military fort, and the site of the first lighthouse on the West Coast. It's a chance to hear stories from former inmates and guards, gaining insight into daily life on "The Rock." This daytime experience departs from Pier 33 in San Francisco on Thursday, November 19, 2026. It's a structured but independent visit, well-suited for anyone interested in American history, true crime, or unique historical landmarks. The tour provides a distinct perspective on one of the country's most well-known former prisons.
