About Tea + Topics | Pull up a chair at South Burlington Public Library's Quiet Reading Room
We're going to spill the tea (both kinds) AND provide the snacks! January's panel discussion plus Q+A-style conversation features 3 women health practitioners who work with women in midlife—and we'll leave plenty of time for your questions.
No slides you'll forget by Friday, no one selling you a silver bullet. Instead, real conversations for women who've had time to steep.
Pull up a chair: the tea is hot and poured by women who know.
so ... what's the tea?
Tea + Topics is a panel conversation for women in midlife—the little sister of Second Saturdays. (I had too many wonderful resource people to keep to myself!)
Each gathering features a small panel of women whose work touches the topic at hand. They share what they see every day, and then the floor is yours: questions, stories, the stuff you've been wondering about when you're lying awake in the middle of the night and never asked out loud.
Think of it as the conversation you wish your mother, your doctor, and your best friend had all been in the same room for—all with a proper cup of tea in your hand.
why several experts instead of one?
Because one expert gives you an answer. Several experts give you a choice—and choosing is where your own wisdom wakes up.
When you hear several women with real expertise describe the same topic from different angles, something lovely happens: you notice what makes you lean in and what makes you shake your head. (Both are welcome information.)
So as you sip, we'll invite you to hold two simple questions:
- What resonates? Which idea lands in your body as an "Ooo yes, that's totally me?"
- What's not for me? Which action might be wonderful for someone else, and simply isn't right for you right now?
This is bio-individuality in action—the understanding that what nourishes one woman may not nourish another. The panelists bring the knowledge, and you add the one thing no expert can to the mix: the experience of being you.
You'll leave with more than notes: you'll leave a little more fluent in the language your own inner voice is speaking—no, not the mean one, the kind one.
who’s this for?
Tea + Topics is for you if you:
- Are navigating midlife and want real answers, not a sales pitch
- Crave community as much as expertise
- Have a running list of “someday I need to look into that” questions about this season of life
- Would rather build relationships with the right guides than google your way through this season alone
- Want to bring your own wisdom to the table and go home with someone else’s, too
You are welcome if you identify as a midlife woman—you get to put the number to that age.
what topic's brewing in january?
What is really going on in our bodies at midlife?
Perimenopause, menopause, sleep, bones, hormones, and the 3 a.m. wake-ups no one warned us about. Three women who work in clinical settings with midlife women pour the tea on what's happening under the hood—why it's happening for you and what you can do with it.
