GINA CHAVEZ

Gina Chavez is a wife, philanthropist and an award-winning independent musician. She is a Latin Grammy nominee for Best Pop/Rock Album, 16-time Austin Music Award winner, including 2019 Best Female Vocals and 2015 Austin Musician of the Year. Gina was most recently awarded the 2025 People’s Voice Award by the Folk Alliance International. Her NPR Tiny Desk concert has more than 1.4 million views and her hour-long PBS special is available nationwide.

Gina’s music is deeply personal. Her passionate collection of bilingual songs takes audiences on a journey to discover her Latin roots through music as she shares her story of life in Texas as a married, queer Catholic. 

Gina tours internationally as a cultural ambassador with the U.S. State Department and runs Niñas Arriba, a college fund she co-founded with her wife for young women in gang-dominated El Salvador. She is featured alongside Oprah, Beyonce, Mahalia Jackson, Dolly Parton and many more in Southern Living's new book celebrating "100 extraordinary women who have left their indelible mark on the South and beyond."

 

VICTOR ANDRES CRUZ / EL GUÁMBITO

Vic combines the Colombian sounds of his childhood and culture, and the eclecticism of his years growing up in the US, with reflective travel overseas and several frosty winters in Boston and New York. All of it resulting in a rich tapestry of dreams, memories and love for home—wherever home is.

Vic is also a graduate of Berklee College of music where he focused on arranging, composing, singing, and Latin percussion and music.  Because of both his traditional and academic background, he has found a way to consolidate both schools of thought for singing and music in general. Focusing on building and nurturing confidence, awareness, trust, tone and rhythm before anything else. 

 

CHIBBI ORDUNA

Chibbi is a Mexican-born, Texas-raised queer poet, performer, and educator whose work lives at the intersection of art and activism. For more than fifteen years they've been writing, performing, and teaching across the country, building a body of work that challenges, heals, and celebrates the power of being seen.

Their debut spoken word studio album, The Target Shoots Back, is a bold and unapologetic exploration of identity, resilience, and defiance. Weaving themes of heritage, survival, and self-discovery, each track confronts systems of oppression, celebrates community, and reclaims space for voices too often silenced.
Off stage, they are the founder and Creative Director of Gem.In.Eyes Productions, Editor-in-Chief at Write About Now Publishing, and Program Director at Out in Tech. Their book OTRO/PATRIA and the co-edited anthology Contra: Texas Poets Speak Out carry the same mission in print: making room for voices too often talked over.
