River Valley Baroque presents Handel's Messiah

River Valley Baroque presents
George Frideric Handel's MESSIAH
Back by popular demand after last year’s sold-out performance

Celebrate the season with River Valley Baroque, Montréal's award-winning baroque
Ensemble L'Harmonie des saisons, the Burlington Baroque Festival Singers,
and internationally acclaimed soloists.

Hear Messiah as Handel composed it

Gut strings, baroque winds and brass, and historical playing techniques...This is Messiah performed on period instruments. Every line of Handel’s writing resonates with clarity, and the music’s drama and tenderness feel startlingly immediate. It’s a rare chance to hear this beloved work as if for the first time — or, if you’re joining us again, to rediscover your favorite moments and find new meaning.

Award-winning artists

L’Harmonie des saisons has won two Juno Awards (Canada’s equivalent of the Grammys) for Classical Album of the Year, in 2016 and 2022, and two Opus Prizes for Best Classical Album in Québec. Its musicians perform exclusively on period instruments and have appeared at major festivals on four continents. The Burlington Baroque Festival Singers have given twelve sold-out performances since their founding in 2023.

Last year’s performance sold out. Reserve your seats today.

From the joy of “For unto us a Child is born” to the thrill of the “Hallelujah” chorus and the swell of the final “Amen,” we can’t wait to see you this holiday season.
