Bike Basics

An expanded version of our popular single-evening bicycle care clinic, Bike Basics is a three week series for folks who would like a little more time, detailed instruction, and hands on experience. You'll learn how to fix a flat tire, clean your drivetrain, adjust your brakes, adjust your shifting, check your bearings, and more! With a 3:1 student-to-instructor ratio this class is designed to empower participants by helping them understand and care for their bicycles.

This is a three week class that meets from 6-8pm on:

• Wednesday, November 4
• Wednesday, November 11
• Wednesday, November 18

This class will be taught by Sequoia (they/them), Greg (he/him), and Austin (he/him).

We are also offering a gender equity class on Thursdays specifically for women/trans/non-binary students. More info here.

All classes will be in the Old Spokes Home Community Workshop at 664 Riverside Drive in Burlington (same building but separate entrance and parking lot). Bike stands, tools and supplies will be provided. Students are encouraged to bring their own bikes to work on, but class bikes can also be provided if needed.
