FAQ:

When and where is the event?

Rescheduled date: OCT 24, 2026 · 9PM–2AM at Club ERA, 305 S Dillard St, Durham, NC. This is an 18+ event and a valid photo ID is required for entry. Expect nightcore, hyperpop, dariacore, and adjacent underground club sounds all night long.

Is this an LGBTQIA+ friendly event?

Absolutely. NXC ISLAND is an LGBTQIA+ affirming space built around PLUR — Peace, Love, Unity & Respect. Respect the people around you: their identities, pronouns, bodies, belongings, and boundaries. Ask before you touch and before you photograph anyone up close. Harassment, discrimination, hate speech, and unwanted contact will not be tolerated, and anyone threatening the safety of this community may be removed.

What should I do if I feel unsafe or uncomfortable?

Come find event staff, venue staff, or security at any point in the night— you don't have to wait for something to escalate. We'll listen, take it seriously, and handle it. Looking after this space is what our team is here for.

What can I wear, and what can I bring?

Beachwear, ravewear, cosplay, kandi, face paint, and fursuits are all welcome and encouraged. A few ground rules:

• Shoes are required and closed-toe is preferred.
• Genitals must be covered — no nudity
• Face and body paint should be fully set and smear-proof, and please be mindful of it around the furniture
• Fursuit heads and masks may need to come off briefly for ID or security checks
• Props are welcome at Club ERA security's discretion: nothing sharp, nothing that blocks walkways or exits
  • No filled water props. Water guns and spray bottles must be completely empty and are still subject to staff approval. Bubbles are welcome

What's happening besides the music?

COSPLAY CONTEST, beach balls, free leis, a photo area, themed decor, and a few surprises throughout the night. The bar will be open for 21+, and free water stations will be available — hydrate, especially if you're in a fursuit or full cosplay.

Are tickets refundable?

Tickets are non-refundable, but they are transferable. If your plans change, pass yours along to a friend.
