Learn to sail at Morro Bay's only sailing school: Morro Bay Yacht Club.

YOUTH SAILING CAMP: 

• $450 / 4 Consecutive weekdays - Monday through Thursday
• Ages 8 - 18 
• All Days run from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM

These sessions are led by competent, responsible sailing instructors.  You can expect a great experience, with the goal of each student being comfortable in commanding their own sailboat.  There's a focus on teamwork, developing leadership skills, and having fun. 

2026 Sessions for Youth Sailing Camp: 

• June 8-11

• June 15-18

• June 22-25

• June 29-July 2

• July 6-9

• July 13-16

• July 20-23

• July 27-30

• August 3-6

• August 10-13

These sessions are limited to a maximum of 14 kids and tend to fill up fast.  Please register quicky to reserve your space.

ADULT SAILING LESSONS:

• $250 / 2 Consecutive weekend days - Saturday & Sunday
• Ages 18+ (and potentially a younger child with parent concurrently enrolled)  
• All Days run from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM 

Adult sessions are with 3-4 people per instructor. Each experience on the water will take you through all aspects of Learning to Sail. Adult 2 day classes begin at 10 am to 3 pm, depending on the weather gods.

We sometimes take a student who is younger than 18 if they are enrolled concurrently with a parent. The lessons occur on a weekend. The fee is $250.00 per person. We need at least three students of offer a class. If we need to reschedule, you will be notified 2 weeks in advance of your class.

Please see below on what to bring for class, but above all else, bring more layers than you think because Morro Bay can get cold. 

Suggestions on what to bring: 

• Layers of clothing: better to bring too much, than not enough! 
• Sunscreen
• Hat
• Water
• Snack/Lunch
• Wear suitable quick-dry clothing
• Water shoes (or closed toe shoes) are preferable to flip-flops
• Windbreaker/ water resistant jacket
• Towel- just in case
• Change of clothing -just in case
