KCBX BENEFIT CONCERT: Central Coast Sessions II

KCBX + The Rock SLO are proud to announce

the 2nd Annual

Central Coast Sessions

A Benefit for KCBX Public Radio

Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 12:00 to 10:00 PM.

This extraordinary event will showcase the best local talent in the county, with 100% of ticket sales going directly to KCBX Public Radio.

Come for the Music, Stay for the KCBX Community

Central Coast Sessions – now in its second year – is a celebration of community through music and the resilience of KCBX. After more than 50 years on the Central Coast, KCBX is here to stay, thanks to your support.

It’s been one year since the elimination of federal funding for public media, but KCBX remains on the air – 365 days a year – as your 100% community-funded public radio station. Please join us in celebrating together alongside hundreds of fellow listeners, supporters, and music lovers of the Central Coast!

In addition to live performances from 10 spectacular local bands throughout the day, you’ll have the opportunity to shop KCBX and Live Oak merchandise, participate in a raffle featuring dozens of goods and services donated by our local business partners, take part in an exclusive Rod & Hammer spirits tasting, and enjoy tasty food and beverages from The Rock’s on-site restaurant.

To honor the recent passing of Frank Lanzone, who served as KCBX’s president and general manager since 1980, and 38-year station operations manager Hank Hadley, there will also be opportunities to commemorate their lasting impact and dedication to KCBX. If you have been wondering about the best way to send your regards, please join us for this day of community connection and celebration of Hank and Frank’s lifelong commitment to public radio.

Gather your friends, bring your dancing shoes, and get ready for a full day of stellar music and impeccable vibes! Spend the day with us, or drop in and out to catch your favorite bands if you’re coordinating around other activities throughout the day. Most importantly, make a difference in your community by supporting public radio KCBX with your friends and neighbors.
